A crumb of comfort for revetting haters

There was an article in Golf Architecture earlier this year, in which Frank Pont and Paul Turner bemoaned the use of revetting in links course bunkers (see the examples in this blog's masthead photograph) over naturally-eroded sand-faced bunkers, which they say prevailed almost everywhere in links golf until World War II.

As our mothers used to tell us, however, there's always someone worse off than you. Behold this, awaiting visitors to the Turkish course of Lykia Links...
