Batu Bay Golf Club - where have we heard this before...?

How I hope Dana Fry is talking from the heart when he describes the new Batu Bay project as having "the chance to become one of the world's great courses".

I'd hate to think a certain Mr Trump had forced everyone else to raise his game where pre-build rhetoric is concerned.

If Fry is right, mind you (and from a glance at the accompanying photograph at the above link, you can at least see where the Bandon Dunes/Sand Hills references come from) Batu Bay will certainly raise the bar where out-of-the-way excellence is concerned.

Based in Inner Mongolia, China, it will make Bandon look positively handy and property speculators prepared to take a punt on the 'build it and they will come' adage, might like to study the interesting aside offered by Christian Furu on Ordos, the nearest major city to the proposed site. Sounds like property values may be a little on the low side at present...
